The Name

A great place to start as the name says it all. "Joe" being slang for coffee and "Gusto" being the Italian word for flavour. It's simple, coffee flavour. It's what we're about and everything that we stand for.

Why flavour?

Because coffee is so damn delicious. We don't drink coffee because it wakes us up, that's just an added bonus, we drink it because of the flavour. Stop and think for a second is there anything more enjoyable than the smell and taste of a freshly brewed coffee first thing in the morning? We think not.

A bad tasting coffee is a great way to ruin the day and life's just too short for a bad day and not long enough to drink coffee that tastes like s*** so we're putting a stop to drinking bad coffee outside of the 4 café walls.

We kept on hearing:

"There is a noticeable plastic taste if I brew my coffee straight into the mug. I have to allow my shot to cool before pouring it into the mug, lest I want an unappealing taste of chemicals with my coffee."

"Right from the start the cup had a chemical taste and smell possibly close to a plastic smell probably more from the lid than the cup. I tried different cafes and still the taste and smell was prevalent."

Why reusable coffee cups?

Coffee just doesn't taste as good from a reusable or takeaway coffee cup. It's not just our opinion, we did a study and over 60% of Aussies who use a reusable coffee cup agreed with us.

We don't think you should have to compromise when choosing the environment or flavour. Our cups offer the best of both worlds, a sustainable conscience with true coffee taste.

This is us.

We're not coffee snobs, just a few friends who share a love for great tasting coffee whom were sick and tired of not being able to enjoy their coffee when not in a café. You'll find us sippin' on a V60 in Melbourne, a latte in Lombok, an espresso in Shenzhen or somewhere in between.
